The northamerican constultant RTS annually makes a benchmarking test over different systems selected in the POS software market, subjecting this software to different stress situations, consecutive power shutdowns in the installed machines, etc…

 

The aim of these test is to rate the performance of the selected software in real situation. Analyzing how they recover from HW serious errors, how their internal design support the integrity of the data in these circumstances… etc. At this point, carmen wks obtained an special report, in a sudden power failure in the hard discs, the version 4.0 of carmen wks is able to restore in the 100% of the test performed. According to the access data engine engineers team, carmen can restructure the data due to the twin system that is included in this version and that keeps, in every moment, all the data replicated, in case any failure occurred.
Other features where carmen pos also obtained good qualifications was its high speed performance. Its able to process until 10 tickets in the touch screen terminal, in just 1,6 seconds.
